Thanks for last night
November 13, 2008
Thanks to everyone for last night and for all that you’ve been doing for us…
I would be remiss if I didn’t thank the Dave & Jacque for leading worship and sending us dinner and leading caregroup. Rachel R for administrating meals and bringing one. The food y’all prepped was excellent.
Thanks to Bri for spending time with me 0 just hanging
Josh & ali for serving us in so many ways that is mind blowing and with so much joy
Jen for the grocery run
And basically everyone for their friendship and care. Last night I received good insight and help in how to lead better, as well as encouragement.

Prayer Request No. 2
October 8, 2008
All,
Please also pray for Jeremy and Rachael as Jeremy continues with Crohn’s Disease and (thanks to Ken) this update:
“I‘ve been to several doctors and specialist and no one can explain why I’m experiencing vertigo like symptoms. But after talking to Rachel’s uncle who is a doctor I’ve been taking allergy medicine every night and it seems to be helping…”
Thanks!
Prayer Requests…
October 8, 2008
From our PC family:
“Just wanted to make you aware (if you’re not already) that I will be away this week at the pastors retreat, which means Erin and the kiddos will be home without me.
Would you please pray for us on the retreat and for Erin and the fam as they make do without me? We always try to slimline everything when I’m away (which isnt very often), but life rolls on.
Thanks for caring for us!
Ben”
An easy way to help fight for cures…
September 8, 2008
Have you guys ever heard of the Stanford University’s “Folding @ home” ? Here’s the basic blurb:
“
Our goal: to understand protein folding, misfolding, and related diseases
What is protein folding and how is folding linked to disease?
Proteins are biology’s workhorses — its “nanomachines.” Before proteins can carry out these important functions, they assemble themselves, or “fold.” The process of protein folding, while critical and fundamental to virtually all of biology, in many ways remains a mystery.
Moreover, when proteins do not fold correctly (i.e. “misfold”), there can be serious consequences, including many well known diseases, such as Alzheimer’s, Mad Cow (BSE), CJD, ALS, Huntington’s, Parkinson’s disease, and many Cancers and cancer-related syndromes.
You can help by simply running a piece of software.
Folding@home is a distributed computing project — people from throughout the world download and run software to band together to make one of the largest supercomputers in the world. Every computer takes the project closer to our goals. Folding@home uses novel computational methods coupled to distributed computing, to simulate problems millions of times more challenging than previously achieved.”
Pretty cool….
Prayer list for the CG
September 4, 2008
What a novel idea! Let’s get a prayer list together for one another in the group…. I’ll let this sit for a bit until either someone volunteers to recieve email prayer requests (and compile them into one list) or I’ll volunteer if no one else does.
Praying for our adopted PC Family
September 2, 2008
It was great having them over the other day for the cookout – Here’s what Jecholia/Ali our PC PoC’s have forwarded me from Ben (as prayer requests)… We will be going over these in CG tonight…!
- Clarity of vision and purpose in ministry and future
- Continual filling of the Holy Spirit and His increased power and presence in our life and gifting
- Greater wisdom, patience and skill in leading and training our children, especially the older ones.
- Outpouring of blessing upon PC class, especially in our relational building and bonding.
- That Erin and I would find mutually profound and lifelong friendships with a few key families this year.
- For grace, strength, and ability for Erin to homeschool well this year.
- For greater grace in humility for Ben and speaking in kindness with the children for Erin.
- That God would increase our fruitfulness in ministry and use us for his glory this year.
New Caregroup Schedule!
August 20, 2008
Hey ! Hopefully everyone is enjoying their month off! We are looking forward to seeing all of you again… and soon! Well, the one major update is that caregroups will be meeting on Tuesdays starting in September. The 1st and 3rd Tuesdays will be normal CG. However, the 2nd Tuesday of each month will be a men’s meeting. The 4th Tuesday will be ladies. That’s the download!
We’ll see you at the BBQ, and if not, then at the next CG meeting!
